It’s no secret that I love royal style, which is why I’m waiting in anticipation along with much of the rest of the world to see what Princess Letizia, Spain’s first “commoner” princess, will wear tomorrow as she is crowned Queen.
It should be little surprise to anyone who follows her fashion choices that her gown will most likely be from designer Felipe Varela, who has dressed the princess for some of her most dazzling and iconic looks.

Later on the same trip to Stockholm, she takes a very romantic turn in dusty pink floral appliqué.

While the Spanish press may have dubbed Letizia the “Hipster Princess”, her style has a decidedly classic feel, but with a modern twist. Astonishingly, the soon-to-be Queen of Spain looks just as stunning in just about anything. When not in gowns, the Princess tends to favor sheaths, pencil skirts and tailored jackets, which work with her slender silhouette. Always sure to send the message that she is a modern, independent woman, she even wears trousers, something many have been calling for Kate Middleton to do for years now.

Of course, we love her casual looks too. Whether she is attending a concert, playing the park with her kids, or attending an official function as the Crown Princess of Spain, this royal just can’t seem to take a wrong step.
When her husband, the 46-year old Prince Felipe, ascends the throne to become King tomorrow, Spain will have a new Queen. And the world will have yet another royal fashion icon. We will be watching closely – we can’t wait to see what she wears next!
Very beautiful, and classy lady! Spain should be proud to have her represent Spain, as their Queen!
I totally agree!
I am so excited to see Letizia as the Queen, even though most of Spain can’t stand her – they think she is snobby! We have friends from Spain and they despise her!
Oh no! Really? I think she is just gorgeous. I’m with you – I’m excited to see how her role as Queen plays out. :)
I absolutely love her style. She is gorgeous!
Right? She really is stunning.
