Your Best Face Forward! {Giveaway CLOSED}

213 Comments 08 March 2009

When I was 16 years old, everyone thought I was so much older than I actually was. People made comments about it all the time (“Oh my GOODNESS you’re ONLY 16?! Wow, are your parents in trouble!”), and occasionally men in their late 20’s would ask me on dates or worse, make inappropriate comments to me or in my direction. My mom, being the good mom that she is, would shoot them dirty looks, quickly usher me away, and tell them in a growling voice, “she’s only 16!”. Naturally, I didn’t mind looking older than I was at 16, because it worked to my advantage! (And, since my mom is BOUND to read this, we’ll leave that at that. Ahem.)

Somewhere around hitting 21 years old, everything changed, and suddenly people started thinking I was much younger than I actually was. I remember being asked for ID while buying a lottery ticket (WHAT? Somebody’s gotta win, right?!), which simultaneously surprised and irritated me since I had been able to buy lottery tickets for 3 years at that point. It got progressively worse, at 22 years old people would ask me if I had considered where I was going for college yet – though in actuality I was a college senior and newly married. At 24 years old and 8 months pregnant, I had several different instances where people looked at my belly in shock and horror and flat out asked “How OLD are you?!” (My response? “You first!! How old are YOU?” with a sweet smile that told them to BUTT OUT.)

So, it seems the gods of aging or anti-aging have smiled upon me for most of my young adult life. I’m not silly enough to think this will go on forever though, nuh uh. I’m doing my part to take care of my skin and body so that I can prepare for the years ahead of me with a fanatical beauty routine that focuses heavily on skincare. There is a new product on the market called Tripeptinon – a small capsule of liquid that combines 17 amino acids to address your skin’s surface issues as well as underlying Tripeptinon Facial Lift Capsulesissues such as supporting and connective tissue in your face. Applied as the very last facial skincare step at night during a 6 week regimen, Tripeptinon is being celebrated as THE best way to have youthful skin – kinda like a face lift in a capsule. Here’s the thing though, you don’t have to be *ahem* OLDER to use this stuff. No matter your age, your skin is constantly exposed to elements that are working against it, sun, wind, toxins in your environment, etc. That means that no matter your age, you’re at the perfect age to take care of your skin.

Win it! I have a 6 week supply of Tripeptinon to give away to one lucky CSC reader! To enter leave a comment for me on this post, and I’d luff you forever if you could say something with a bit more effort than “I wanna win.” or “enter me”. Oh, and I have final say over what comments qualify as effort. After your initial comment, every other (pertinent) comment left on this site on other posts from now through March 15th will count as an extra entry each. You don’t need to come back to this post and tell me you commented on another post, I can stalk track you via your email/IP address. As usual, extra entries are also available for stumbling Chic Shopper Chick (leave your stumble name), subscribing to my site, following me on Twitter, and blogging about this giveaway with a link back here. That’s it, so good luck!

US entries only, winner will be chosen via random.org at the end of the contest. Winners are posted here, please leave a valid email address or blog address if you’d like to be contacted should you win. Winner has 72 hours to claim their prize. This contest ends at 11:59 pm CST on March 16th, 2009.

You asked for a suggestion in order to win. Mine is: offer Eggs with pink and blue and yellow and green for BABY SHOWERS and CHRISTENINGS!!!! Why pick me? I Foster/Adopted two kids and I have six more Honoray kids that call me mom. Several are special needs and now getting divorced. I am broke…

I’m always on the lookout for skin products to help maintain a healthy glow. I am 43 and luckily people think I look younger than I am. I have noticed lately some dryness and a few wrinkles etching themselves into my face without my permission I might add. The product Face Lift in a Capsule “Tripetinon” looks like a product I would like to try. I would love help with getting rid of the fine wrinkles that are beginning to appear due to aging and the environment. The antioxidant ‘Ubiquinone’ that it contains for improving what is happening naturally to my skin is just the thing I would like to try and use to see if it will help. Thanks for the giveaway. I turned 40 recently and my skin has taken on a life of its own since my birthday. I really wasn’t ‘feeling’ 40 so it didn’t bother me at the time but now, I ‘look’ 40 with this new face. Thanks for the chance to win and try a product that could help me.

I’ll turn 56 in April and my facial skin has turned traitor on me!! I’ve never been bothered with dry skin, so moisturizers tended to just lie on the surface. Now all of a sudden I’m seeing wrinkles and things that can only be caused by not moisturizing properly. What’s a girl to do?? Maybe this product will help revitalize my skin without weighing it down with oily ingredients. I’d love to win this giveaway so I can try it for myself.

  22. Charity S. says:

  27. ktanjatk says:

It sounds like an interesting product worth trying.
I’m 46 and so far I could get away without extensive anti-aging regimen (yup, good genes), but it’s time to make more effort about it, so this could be the very thing that I need to include in my future skincare routine.

    Thanks for the chance :)

  28. Jennifer M says:

Great post! You had me laughing as I pictured strangers rudely asking your age during your pregnancy and your perfect response. It sounds like you have truly been blessed with great skin! I, on the other hand, could definitely use the help of your wonderful giveaway and am excited to try the “face lift in a capsule!” My skin is looking tired these days – I am hoping it is because I AM tired with a four month old and three older kids running around.

  29. Mineola says:

Love the idea of addressing skincare from the inside out!!!

  30. Teresa S. says:

I am about to hit 46 years old. It is like overnight all the sun exposure and stress caught up with me. I once look a least 5 years younger than my age, now I look 10 years older. You say Tripeptino is like a “FACE LIFT” in a pill. I want to give this a try. First I had heard of hit on your blog, thanks.

  31. Betty C says:

I am now pushing 30 and have begun thinking about what types of anti-aging products I would like to begin using. I am noticing some signs of aging and would like to target them as early as possible, but I’m just not sure what will work best for me. I am now in a trial period, so trying this product will help me make some decisions. Luckily, my parents look much younger than they actually are, so hopefully those genes will work to my advantage as well.

  34. Shelly M says:

I’ve had friends that used this and loved it, no doubt the signs of aging are evident, too much sun evidently. Would love the opportunity to try this!

Your description of the Tripeptinon capsules is fantastic! It makes me want to incorporate them into my skincare routine which is becoming increasingly fanatical too! I am 29 yrs old and I too and doing as much as I can to target potential signs of aging by using the most effective skincare products on my skin as I can, so I am finding myself doing a lot more online researching of products before I purchase any to make sure I am using the most effective combination of products I can find that will keep my skin healthy from the inside out! The Tripeptinon capsules most definitely are something I would love to try and since I am passionate about staying consistent with my skincare routine I am sure I will reap the benefits from them! Thank you so much for the opportunity to enter.

Erika, I too have been blessed, looking younger than I really am for most of my life. However, now that I am 47, it isn’t quite enough. I have tried many things to keep my skin from showing its age, from Retin-A to the latest products with peptides with lessthan stellar results. Far from giving up however, I am still looking for my miracle. I would love to have a chance to try Tripeptinon and my wallet would love you forever if I didn’t have to spend a ton to try it. Pick me, pick me, pretty please, LOL!

  142. Catherine says:

This looks like an interesting product to me because while it’s anti-aging it’s not moisturizing. I have very oily skin so I’m not interested in moisturizing skin care products, but so many anti-aging products seem to throw in moisturization as a matter of course, which rules out lots of possibilities for me. Thanx for the contest.

A yucky bout with chemo(I AM GREAT NOW!)has left my skin with virtually no elasticity in my skin. You talk about how young you look, well, I honestly look 25 years older than I am. I never considered myself vain, but goodness. Sometimes I don’t recognize myself! I feel so much better than I look! God is good.

  145. Lauren says:

OK…so my question is this: If the Tripeptinon is like a face lift in the fact that it lifts and tightens, will this effect work on say…um…the breasts? You know, like a boob job in a capsule! If so, I’m TOTALLY in!! Just kidding! :) Hope you got a laugh out of that one! But seriously, the wrinkled under-eye baggage, as a result of little sleep with 2 little ones close in age, would appreciate this luxury I’m sure!!!

  146. lois says:

  160. SANDY says:

its nice for skin to look young, and this is amazing- I have protected my skin since I was younger with sunscreen- I avoid full on sun witout it because i do not care to look like a prune later in life if at all possible

  161. Elizabeth D says:

It is important to wear a daily sunscreen to prevent aging.

  162. Dara N. says:

Growing up, I was ALWAYS out in the sun and now my 47 year-old skin is paying the price (and living in the Sunshine State doesn’t help, either)!! So, my skin wants you know that it would LOVE to win this!!

  167. Theresa Shafer says:

I am lucky for my family it is genetics. Grandpa at 99, was passing for a 70 something man. Grandma looked more like our mother and ma looked like a teenager. I was carded until I was in my thirties. Sis at 40-something, late something was passing for a 14-year-old. Now menopause has hit and she looks twenty something.
The face really can give age away. Then neck is another area. Or illness.
It is illness that I AM conquering.
Thank you for the chance to own something that will give me back my non-ill face. Thank you for that chance.

  168. Denise B. says:

I’ve taken very good care of my skin all of my life; and at 45, people don’t believe I’m this old. My husband is eight years younger than me, and people think that he’s the older of the two of us. I’m always trying new products to see which ones work best for me.

  171. Rita Sheppard says:

My skin has gotten dry with middle age and starting to show some wrinkles even though I’ve been diligent about using moisturizer. I had to work outside in the sun quite a bit when we had a house out in the country with lots of land to maintain so that didn’t help. This sounds like it would be a godsend to me.

  172. Staci K says:

  181. Shellie Seering says:
