It seems that impeccable Italian style is not just for the streets of Milan, and the Italian National Team is here to prove that to the world. I ran across some photos of both the Italian National Team and the English National Team arriving in Brazil ahead of the 2014 World Cup and I couldn’t help but laugh out loud at the differences between the two. So, it begs the question – Italy vs. England – who wore it best?
Here is a shot of the Italian National Team disembarking their Alitalia flight in Rio:
The Italian National Team is wearing their matching 3-piece Dolce and Gabana navy wool suits, which have clearly been tailored to each player. I mean. Wow.
There is no denying that these men have style. Let’s be honest – you can hand a man a suit, but you can’t make him wear it well. Each player that stepped off of the plane looked effortlessly chic and stylish.
In contrast, check out these photos of the English National Team disembarking their flight in Brazil.
The English team instead chose a warmup-style outfit of shorts, polos, and sneakers – a far cry from the wool suits of the Italians. We understand that comfort is important while traveling, but maybe the team could have taken a cue from it’s own Kate Middleton, who has shown us time and again that a quick change of clothes before stepping off of a plane is actually quite important.
For now the answer is obvious. Who wore it best? Italy.
As for who will play best? We will know the answer to that question in a few short hours.
Well, neither of those teams won the world cup so I guess fashion isn’t everything, eh? ;)
Hahaha! This is awesome. Absolutely no contest.
Could not agree more!
The Italians, naturally!!
Right? No contest! I thought the comparison was just too funny to pass up.
Haha! This is so awesome. The Italians have the best style for sure! And they are all so handsome too!
Yes, they are definitely easy on the eyes. :)
