As you may know, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with Prince Harry spent the weekend in Arosa, Switzerland for the wedding of Olympic Medalist Laura Bechtolsheimer to polo player Mark Tomlinson. Earlier this weekend, Kate was spotted spending some quality time with friends (and even toting a baby bag for her friend Rosie Meade) on the slopes, though Kate was not skiing, presumably because she is pregnant.
On Saturday she arrived at the wedding escorted by Prince Harry, as William was an usher in the wedding party so was already at the venue fulfilling his duties. She was wearing her brown print Max Mara Studio dress that we have previously seen in November when the Duke and Duchess visited Cambridge. She was also wearing her Lock & Company brown pillbox hat that she wore last March for the Shamrock Ceremony with the Irish Guard. She also wore the Valerie pump and carried the Natasha clutch – both from Emmy Shoes.
I’ve been loving the photos of Kate with her blossoming baby bump – like this one from her public appearance last month at Hope House (where she also wore Max Mara Studio).
But for some reason, something about this photo of the pregnant Duchess is my favorite yet. She just looks – calm. Like herself. Not that I personally know what that looks like – what the relaxed, not “on” all of the time Kate Middleton is really like. But I imagine that if I did – this would be it. The Duchess took a walk with her bodyguard in the snow while her husband and brother in law hit the slopes for some ski time. I love the jacket slung over her arm and just the slightest hint of a baby bump showing through.
I am so excited for this royal baby! I’m going to be honest – I’m hoping that the baby is a girl – now that the Queen has decreed that the first born will be in direct succession to the throne, regardless of gender, I’m really hoping that we get to test it out. What do you think? Will we have a prince or a princess?
Ahhh. I’ve been waiting to see more bump photos but she has been on the major DL lately! C’mon Kate!
@ISA: Yes indeed, she is suuuper cute :-)!!!
She looks amazing – she’s still barely showing! I don’t think it matters whether it’s a boy or a girl – the Queen has made it clear that they’ll be treated equally.

I think she’s having a girl too. In the one photo where you can actually see her bump, she looks like she’s carrying high!
She hides her belly pretty well, huh!
I think a girl. For no good reason. Well, maybe because I feel like we’ve had enough royal boys for a while. Of course, who knows–maybe those royal men only make one kind of baby?
